CONFIGURING THE HEADING INDICATOR

The Heading Indicator  consists of the Digital value part, the graphic presentation.
Available modes are True and Magnetic .
Both digital and graphic using the same value Heading Magnetic (Value_07) and heading True (Value_08) 

The NMEA sentence related to true heading is the $--HDT ,$ --VHW, $-- THS
The NMEA sentences related to magnetic heading are  $--HDM,  $--HDG

True and Magnetic heading
 are available in a lot of NMEA sentences. So if the above sentences are not available in your data network feel free to decode any sentence with heading data in it

If the boat's gyro installation has a fixed deviation from add it as an offset to correct it
